Carrot Productions Presents Wallace and Gromit’s Musical Marvels

*We have been gifted a family ticket for Wallace and Gromit’s Musical Marvels for the purpose of this post. As always, all thoughts and opinions are our own.

Late last year we were lucky enough to be invited to The Snowman Tour with live orchestra from Carrot Productions. It’s a show to remember and one that will kick-start out festive season for years to come. That’s why we were very excited to hear that Carrot Productions are teaming up with Aardman Animations, to present Wallace and Gromit’s Musical Marvels!

Tell Me More!

Carrot productions will start their 38 day tour this Spring, at some spectacular venues including; London Barbican Hall, Blackpool Pleasure Beach and Liverpool Arena Auditorium among so many more. Wallace and Gromit’s Musical Marvels is an interactive experience with live orchestral accompaniment. Having witnessed the live orchestra during The Snowman performances we’ve seen, I can vouch for how this creates such an incredible and memorable show. The orchestra is made up from some amazing talent, including members of the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra!

Wallace and Gromit’s Musical Marvels is made up from specially created animations, that see Wallace and his sidekick Gromit get up to their usual comical shenanigans! The show will also feature a screening of The Wrong Trousers, also accompanied by live orchestra.

We’re very excited to be heading to Sheffield to see Wallace and Gromit’s Musical Marvels. It’s set to be a fun afternoon for all of the family, I know we’ll be holding our sides with all of the giggling throughout the show. We can’t wait!

The Snowman Tour 2017 – A Season to Remember

The Snowman Tour 2017 – A Season to Remember

With the nights drawing in and the temperatures dropping, Autumn is well and truly setting in. As much as I’ll miss the Summer months, there’s so much to look forward to in the colder seasons. I love hearing leaves crunching underfoot, seeing beautiful Autumn colours and as we head into Winter there’s Christmas!

Ever since we had children, Christmas has become even more magical. I’m already excited for how much fun we’re going to have as a family. One of my favourite things to do around Christmas time is indulge myself in seasonal TV, December just wouldn’t be the same without watching all of the classic Christmas movies. My absolute favourite is The Snowman. I’ve watched it for as long as I can remember and last year, for the first time, we all sat down together as a family to enjoy the classic Christmas tale!

This year however, we’re going to step it up a notch, after I recently found out about The Snowman Tour from Carrot Productions. I decided that visiting one of the many venues to see this amazing show, would be ideal way to kick off our festive season. When I checked the dates for our local venue I noticed that some were already sold out!

The Snowman animation that we all know and love will be shown on a big screen, but the beauty of this show is that the traditional tale will be accompanied by a live orchestra. Thinking about how amazing the atmosphere will be already sends shivers down my spine, it will be such a treat for us to witness their amazing talent!

Depending on the venue you decide to visit, you’ll also be treated to ‘The Bear and the Piano’ with recorded narration by Joanna Lumley,  ‘The Nutcracker’ animation by Tom Scott or even ‘Cinderella’. We’re so excited to see ‘The Bear and the Piano’, it’s something I’ve never seen before so it will be new and exciting for me and the kids!

The festive season just can’t come around quickly enough now that our girls are a little older. We have so much to look forward to and so many happy memories to make. I know The Snowman Tour is something we’ll never forget!
