Romance can mean so many different things. For some it’s flowers and chocolate, for others it’s surprise holidays and fine jewellery! There’s no right or wrong way to add a little romance into the lives of yourself and your loved one, the trick is knowing what the word means to them!
On the subject of romance, here’s what the ‘R’ word means to me:
Feeling comfortable –
I think that feeling comfortable with one another is definitely romantic. There’s nothing better than knowing someone enough to be your true self with them. I remember being in Devon dating when Hubs and I first got together and it was the first time we felt truly at ease with each other. Bliss!
Knowing how one another feel –
Back when I was a in the Yorkshire singles category, I never imagined that I could know another person so well. These days Hubs and I can read each other like books and there’s nothing more romantic than knowing how to make the other person feel at their best. We get even better at it as the years go by too!
Having a takeaway in front of the TV –
Whether you’re in Leeds dating or in Surrey dating, on of the all time most romantic nights is settling down to a takeaway and a good film! This is my all time favourite date night! To be honest, I think this is the favourite date night of many people up and down the country. You don’t have to be in a relationship either, even Tayside singles love a good food and movie night!
Breakfast in bed –
Now that we have two children, breakfast in bed has become a very rare treat. On the day that we do treat each other to a lie in and a yummy breakfast though, it’s so nice to have the break. What could be more romantic than providing an extra hours kip and some good food!
