We love Christmas in our household, from the heart-warming Christmas films, to the mince pies, time spent with little ones, and of course the decorations. What we don’t love however, is the stress surrounding the holiday season- writing and actually posting the cards, all the Christmas parties (and the politics involved!) and finding more inventive places to hide presents from Santa! In an attempt to curb the Christmas stress, I’ll be shopping online, and here are my reasons why you should too!
Avoid the Christmas chaos
It’s the most wonderful time of the year- that is unless you’ve left your Christmas shopping to the last minute, along with a quarter of the population. Ordering your gifts, and even your food online is the perfect way to combat the chaos that ensues when Christmas panic sets in. Save time and beat the queues, save on the back ache from lugging bags and boxes through busy high-streets, and more importantly save your sanity- no one likes to see a grown woman cry because there are no more L.O.L Surprise toys left!
Online shopping is perfect for busy mums and dads. You can order the Christmas food shop whilst waiting for the Sunday roast to cook or purchase a new board game whilst you’re watching a festive film together. Shopping online from the comfort of your own home will save you precious time of the festive period and can easily fit in around your downtime- at a time when most shops are closed!
Premium delivery services
As more and more online stores realise that importance of online shopping, there has been an increase in the number of Premium delivery services. Usually costing the customers around £10 per year, once purchased, you can expect free next day delivery on all purchases. ASOS, a market leader when it comes to online fashion has been leading the way with its Instant Delivery Service, and it’s worth the money, even if you only use it twice you’ll have saved money compared with normal next day deliveries. This service is perfect for those last-minute present purchases that previously would have you dashing in to town 10 minutes before stores close.
Revamp the house from the comfort of home
The run up to Christmas is the perfect time to give your home a quick revamp, whether you like the Scandi hygge style, or prefer a traditional country house look. With blinds that arrive the very next day you can transform your home with minimal fuss, and shopping online gives you all the inspiration you need, as well as having everything delivered straight to your door!
It’s easy to get bogged down in the spending at Christmas but it’s important to remember, Christmas is about spending quality time with loved ones. It’s worth noting last delivery times for Christmas, just in case you are tempted to save time by shopping online!
