Weddings are the perfect occasions for everyone to get together and celebrate the love and relationship of a couple that they care about. The run up to weddings are a very exciting time too, there’s so much planning to be done and so many things to think about. The thing about weddings is that there are so many small elements that make up one completely epic day. Right from favours to wedding dresses. Every detail has to be perfect to make sure that the bride and groom have the best day ever!
This year marks five years since Hubs and I tied the knot. Our day was one full of good times and happy memories, surrounded by friends and family. We planned our wedding in a very short space of time, in fact it was all done and dusted within around three months! Every single detail had to be thought through and organised in double-quick time. One of the most important things on our wedding to-do list was hiring the best photographer we could afford. Wedding days pass by in a flash and when you’re caught up in the middle of the celebrations, it’s so easy to miss parts of your day. That’s why taking as many photographs of your big day as you can is so important!
There’s nothing worse than not being able to look back at photographs of your wedding day in years to come. Those rainy days when you feel a little nostalgic, just won’t be the same if you can’t get the albums out and get lost in the memories of your special day.
Get your guests to take photographs too –
These days, whatever the occasion, everyone has a smart phone in their pocket. The good thing about this is that it also means they have a camera in their pocket! One of the best ways to make sure that you get some good photos of your day is to try out wedding photo sharing. The idea of this is that you ask your guests to take as many photo’s as they can and then share them with you after the event. This is a really fun way to look back on your wedding day, as you get to see the events unfold through the eyes of your guests. It’s also a great way to get your guests more involved in your special day. The more photographs your guests take, the more memories you have to look back on!
Make sure you take more photographs than you think you’ll need –
The secret to making sure that you capture the best of your wedding day, is to take far more photo’s than you think you’ll need. That way you’ll have plenty to choose from and you won’t be disappointed if some don’t turn out quite the way you wanted them to. Sometimes photo’s just don’t focus properly, or they don’t develop in the way you’d imagined. So don’t be left disappointed, get your photographer to keep snapping away – you can never have too many pictures!
