Friday September 8th marks International Literacy Day 2017!

Every year International Literacy Day is celebrated to remind the world that literacy is the foundation of education. It’s the beginning of an amazing, enlightening process. One that aids people in expanding their knowledge and in developing a love for learning.

To mark the occasion I’ve teamed up with Viking to bring you a snippet of my favourite literature from times gone by! My all time favourite classic is Jane Eyre, written by Charlotte Bronte. It’s the perfect romantic tale, with a twist to keep you on your toes and it has a happy ending that will warm your heart, what more could a girl want?!

The guys over at Viking sent over some fabulous bits of stationary, so that I could create a few pieces dedicated to the literature that I love best. From speech mark pegs, a quill with ink and beautiful metallic Sharpies. I didn’t know where to start, or which product I was most excited about using!

Below is my favourite quote from the book, it wasn’t easy to choose just one but this really stands out for me.

The initials of Jane Eyre and also of our girls!

Do you have a favourite classic tale?
