KidloLand App – Review and Giveaway

Facebooktwitterpinterestinstagram

When was the last time you gave your child a tablet to play on, without you feeling the pang of screen time guilt? As Mothers (and Fathers) we aim to educate our children from noon ’till night. We attempt to restrict access to screens, occasionally constantly trying to engage our in activities to nourish their minds.  Whilst doing so, the laundry pile reaches new heights and the vacuum fails to see the light of day.  Parents we have our saviour – all hail the KidloLand Nursey Rhymes App for Kids. Hoorah!

The KidloLand app is designed for children aged between 0-5.  It combines over 90 well loved nursery rhymes with over 200 activities, to create the ideal learning environment for our munchkins.

As a stay at home mum I often find myself struggling for activity ideas day after day, so when the guys from KidloLand offered us the chance to try out their app I jumped at the chance.

Kidloland Nursery Rhymes App for Kids Review

The colourfulness of the app really stands out, Baby J has always been drawn to bright colours and this app does not disappoint.  The design of the app is eye catching and navigation is simple, meaning J at 16 months old can guide her own way through the nursery rhymes with ease.

All of the nursery rhymes are interactive, which went down a storm with my eldest.   Tapping scenery and characters brings each rhyme to life.  Row Your Boat has been a firm favourite in our house since Baby J was tiny, throw in a juggling polar bear and she is captivated!

The features within the app are downloadable, making it great for when you are on the go.  We found this feature particularly useful on long car journeys.  Baby J is not a good traveller but with Kidloland on our side we were able to brave longer trips, with an entertained toddler on board.

The great thing about KidloLand is that there are restrictions to access the settings menu.  An easy sum pops up on the screen to allow access, meaning that excited tapping of the screen doesn’t have to be discouraged.

Having explored the app with Baby J, we found that the activities are a little advanced for her age.  As she gets older, they will provide hours of learning and entrainment, for now though the nursery rhymes section offers more than enough stimulation.

Overall, the KidloLand app has been a huge hit.  It is an app that will grow with my brood, as they begin to learn their numbers and ABC. The bright colours and sharp graphics capture their attention, with the interactive element offering added excitement to an already fun filled app!

I think childrens apps are great for keeping them entertained on long car journeys or the times they have to sit patiently. They are also great for educating them, we’ve got some amazing apps and I’ve heard great things about this one. #justanotherlinky

I really like the idea that this can grow as your child gets older, so it’s not a static age-targeted app. I’ve heard good things about this one! Thanks so much for linking up at #KCACOLS. Hope you come back again next Sunday.

We love the Kidloland App too, it is so good for development and my daughter loves playing with it. I’ve not used it for a while so this reminds me! There’s always a worry about screen time but I think as long as it’s limited, and it’s for educational purposes then that’s fine. Thanks so much for linking up at #fortheloveofBLOG. Claire x
