Any girl knows that planning a wedding is one of the most exciting things they’ll ever do. Many of us have been planning our big day for as long as we can remember, we’ve all been guilty of using a head towel as a veil! When your time does come though, there are so many things that you need to think about. In order to make sure your day runs as smoothly as possible, you need to make sure you’ve planned everything down to the last little detail.
There are so many different types of wedding that you need to consider before you make any final decisions. Do you want a full day affair? Will you have hundreds of guests or just a handful? What colour scheme will you choose? I can guarantee you that these questions pass through the mind of every newly engaged couple. Before you get into the finer details though, there are a few decisions that you need to make early on in the game. Without these details being confirmed, you won’t have the foundations on which to build the wedding of your dreams.
There’s so much information available over at confetti.co.uk, that will help you to make the right decisions for you. For now though, here are five things that you should consider when you’re planning a wedding;
Choosing the right venue –
The right venue can make or break your wedding day. It’s definitely not a decision that you should rush into. You need to think about the season you’re getting married in, will it be warm or cold? Do you want to get married outside, or do you have an image of a grand hall, or maybe an intimate country house. If your wedding has a theme, it’s possible to find a venue that will match it. It’s a good idea to visit a few different types of venue, so that you can get a feel of the kind of wedding you’d have in each.
Choosing the right dress –
Choosing the right dress may be the most important thing for a girl to consider on her wedding day. Similarly to the venue, you need to consider the season you’re getting married in. Do you need to make sure your dress is warm enough for a Winter wedding, or do you need to make sure it’s cool enough for Summer celebrations?
These days wedding dresses don’t just have to be white, so it’s also a good idea to think about what colour wedding dress you would prefer. Maybe you’re having a themed wedding, or maybe you want to compliment the colour chosen for the bridesmaids and groom.
Another important detail of your dress to consider is whether you will wear a veil, a tiara or both. Always try on the different options available to you, choosing the right outfit is vital.
Choosing the right flowers –
Every wedding has flowers in one way or another. There are so many to choose from, in an array of beautiful colours and arrangements. You don’t just have to go with flowers that you’re familiar with, do a little research into what’s available and find out what magic your florist can work with them.
Choosing the right cars –
Cars are a really fun part of any wedding day. You might just want the one car, that will take you all to the venue. Alternatively you might want a couple of different cars to get you all there on time. Cars can be an important part of the day for the groom too, there’s nothing better than turning up in a set of really cool wheels. Take some time to consider what will suit you both best, that way you’re sure to make it a day neither of you will ever forget.
Choosing the right photographer –
Photographers are a key part of weddings. The day often goes by in a blur of happiness and excitement for those involved, so having a photographer to capture each and every special moment is essential for you to look back on the day. Some photographers work by themselves, others work in pairs. It’s important to consider how many photographs you want of the day and when you want them to start taking photographs. If you want to have photographs taken when both the bride and groom are getting ready, it’ a good idea to find a company that works in pairs.
Some companies offer extra special additions such as photo booths and props. These are great to look back on and encourage your guests to have fun on the day too. Therefore, it’s important that you consider exactly what you want from a photographer and what you want to look back on in years to come!
