Frizz Ease Review and Giveaway with John Frieda

Prior to having children I ran my own hairdressing business. Even though I’m no longer in the trade I still love all things hair and beauty!  Its been a long time since I picked up a pair of scissors or stocked up on the latest products for my clients.  So when the guys at John Frieda asked me to try out their Frizz Ease range, I couldn’t wait to give it a go!

Even though I’m a hairdresser, I must confess that my own locks are significantly lacking in condition.  I haven’t had it cut since before Baby J was born, along with daily blow drying and straightening it really takes a battering.  As you can imagine I’ve tried a lot of products over the years, it’s not easy to find something that will tame the Wurzel Gummage look I’ve been rocking!

Firstly I think the packaging on this product is great.   Its colourful, eye catching and modern.  It smells amazing too, especially the serum.  I’m often caught sniffing at my hair after using it!

The shampoo lathered up really well as I washed my hair, making it feel super clean afterwards.  Also, I really liked the consistency of the conditioner.  Far too often conditioners are watery making them pretty useless, after using the Frizz Ease conditioner my hair felt in better shape almost immediately.

The Frizz Ease Serum is a real show stopper.   It’s applied whilst the hair is still wet, I have a lot of hair so I ran a generous amount through the mid-lengths and ends.  After a quick blow dry without using any tricks of the trade, my hair felt good.  My ends appeared less split and it hasn’t shone like that for a long time!  I must stress though that less is more with the serum, I felt that it made my hair heavy and limp on first use but I applied far too much.

Before & After

Overall, I would highly recommend the Frizz Ease collection from John Frieda.  It’s genuinely a product that I will continue to use, I just have to remember to remove it from the shower so Hubs doesn’t give it a go!

Have used Frizz Ease in the past but moved away from it – would be good to see how this one works 🙂
